"This album is a nice result from an unpredictable situation.
My acoustic bass guitar, was misused since I bought it in 1995, but in front of me at the main studio room, about more than one year. Due to its electronics limitations, it rarely appeared on few albums. The last one was Haltdalen (2021), when it had more voice, as well as on the title track from “Northern Sunrise” solo album (2019).
This session was the first and only time I decided to start an exclusive immersion on its sound field, exploring it’s renaissance echoes, having fun modelling some improvisations combining this aesthetics with something more contemporary inspired by Barre Phillips.
The result is a cozy and mysterious wooden acoustic music with some familiar renaissance ambience." (by Celio Barros)
